Tosha Whitten Griggs  


The FrontPage Firm’s seasoned, experienced team is led by award-winning PR executive Tosha Whitten Griggs, who delivers 15 years of strategic communications and public relations experience in the entertainment, consumer and high tech practice areas.   Currently a publicist for the Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards (2009 – present), Whitten Griggs has also provided her publicity expertise to other major television and entertainment industry events such as The American Music Awards, The ASCAP Pop Awards, The ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Awards, Chrysler’s ‘Behind The Lens’ event honoring Spike Lee and others.

In her former position as Senior Director of Corporate Communications for Black Entertainment Television (BET- a subsidiary of Viacom), Whitten Griggs directed public relations strategies and execution for BET’s entertainment programming and specials, which include the annual BET Awards,  Hip Hop Awards and Celebration of Gospel, as well as past specials such as Walk of Fame, BET comedy awards, and BET’s 25th Anniversary Celebration.  She was also responsible for media relations efforts for BET’s development slate and primetime/original programming including shows from the 2007 – 2008 season such as AMERICAN GANGSTER,BALDWIN HILLS, HELL DATE, KEYSHIA COLE: THE WAY IT IS, COLLEGE HILL: VIRGIN ISLANDS, and COLLEGE HILL: INTERNS among others.   Prior to her position at BET, Whitten Griggs worked for 7 years as an Account Executive at Shandwick Public Relations and Alexander Ogilvy Public Relations representing clients such as Microsoft, Compaq Computer Corp., Fisher-Price, Kodak, Cox Enterprises, Columbia House Online and others.

Whitten Griggs has been recognized by the Entertainment Publicists Professional Society for her outstanding contributions in entertainment publicity and the Los Angeles PRSA Chapter for her work on projects such as Lil’ Kim: Countdown to Lockdown (Winner, 2006 Prism Awards – Entertainment Program/Personality), BET Awards ’06 (Prism Certificate of Excellence, Press Kit/print), BET 25th Anniversary Special (Prism Certificate of Excellence, One-Time Media or Special Event), and COLLEGE HILL: Virgin Islands (2007 Prism Certificate of Excellence, Special Purpose/Creative Materials – Photography).

Whitten Griggs maintains a number of professional memberships in television and communications, including the Television Academy (NATAS), Hollywood Radio and TV Society (HRTS), Television Publicity Executives Committee (TPEC), Entertainment Publicists Professional Society (EPPS), National Association of Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC), Women in Cable Television (WICT), and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
